BBC Call the Midwife stars tease romance ahead of new series
Stars of the BBC period drama Call the Midwife revealed more about a romance on the fourteenth series of the show, which kicked off earlier this month. Rebecca Gethings who plays Sister Veronica and Natalie Quarry who plays Rosalind Clifford teased some spoilers about love, life and friendship in Poplar and the struggles of adapting to 1970s England.
In an interview on ITV daytime show Lorraine, host Ranvir Singh talked about the heart-tugging scenes between two characters in particular, Rosalind and Cyril. She said Cyril's "lingering look" left viewers wanting to know what will happen next in their journey.
Actress, Natalie kept her lips sealed, as she teased: "Now I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it isn't the end of their story." Rosalind and Cyril bonded while working at a homeless shelter, however their relationship is complicated. Rosalind was left disappointed as Cyril planned to take a break to be with his wife Lucille, played by Leonie Elliott.

The new series of Call The Midwife launched on Sunday January 5 at 8pm on BBC One. Episodes will follow every Sunday evening and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
