BBC Escape to the Country in show first as Ginny Buckley gasps 'Oh come on'
Escape to the Country host Ginny Buckley was left speechless as she experienced a show first just minutes into viewing a couple's dream home.
During Wednesday’s (January 8) episode of the BBC spin-off show I Escaped to the Country, Ginny reunited Police Officer Ele and Huw, a digital marketing manager who has made a different relocation since appearing on the show.
At the time, the dog-loving couple were looking to trade their current Harpenden, Hertfordshire home for a new one in High Weald, Kent, with a budget of £600,000.
They ended up falling in love with the mystery house in High Weald, which Ele described as her "happy place." In a touching moment, Ele confessed: "I'm getting a bit emotional, sorry, but I guess that's what we really need in our new happy place."

Huw added: "All the properties we've seen have been really nice could happily live in any of them but some houses feel more right for you than others and that's how the mystery house felt."
However, they decided not to make an offer. A year later, the pair decided to put an offer on a different house in Hampshire, and it’s clear the view blew away Ginny.
Walking into the garden, the TV star said: “Oh my goodness me. Oh, come on, no.” Ele went on to say: “This was the selling point. It’s everything we could have possibly wished for and more.”
Ginny confessed: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a view quite as beautiful as that off the bottom of the garden at any property I have been to.”
The couple were shocked at the remark as Ele replied: “Oh, well, that makes me very happy.” Speaking on why they chose a different location, Ele revealed: “Whilst East Sussex was beautiful, actually we just wanted to be so that I could get into London and ideally closer to the coast. So we literally just had South England as our search criteria.”
She added: “We knew nothing about this area when we bought it so it was quite a risky decision, and coincidentally, on that same day we came to view the house our Escape to the Country episode had been on the TV.”
Escape to the Country airs weekdays from 3pm on BBC One and iPlayer
