Homes Under the Hammer viewers are complaining that the BBC show has been 'ruined' after a major change. The long-running programme has been a favourite with daytime TV viewers for the last 21 years.

The show, fronted by presenter Martin Roberts, sees its experts follow properties as they go through the auction process, meet the buyers to see how they plan to renovate their homes, and then return back later to show off the progress.

The programme is currently in its 28th series, and now features Owain Wyn Evans, who was announced as one of the new hosts earlier this year, alongside Martin, Dion Dublin, Martel Maxwell and Jacqui Joseph.

As part of the new series, the experts are joined by star guests in what has been named 'celebrity specials'. On Wednesday's episode (December 11), Owain was joined by Steps member Ian 'H' Watkins.

The episode saw Owain show his friend and pop sensation around a 'Step-tacular' tiny home in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Also on the horizon this week are celebrity special episodes featuring Jacqui with broadcaster Sarah Greene and Martel who is joined by Eastenders actor James Bye.

But viewers of the property show aren't happy with change which sees celebrities joining the main presenters, as they took to X to make the same complaints that the programme has been 'ruined'.
