BBC Race Across the World wants Lancashire contestants to apply for new series

A casting agency is on the hunt for people from Lancashire to participate in the upcoming series of the BAFTA-winning show.

Studio Lambert is seeking Lancastrians and others from the north of England to compete in BBC One's Race Across the World. The programme requires teams og two travelelrs to reach a designated destination somewhere else in the world without the aid of flights, bank cards or mobile phones.

The duo that outpaces the other contestants bags a hefty cash reward. Hinting at what participants can anticipate, Studio Lambert stated: "As they take on the challenge of travelling across the world, perhaps the greatest thing they'll discover is about themselves and one another.

"We are now accepting applications for the next series of Race Across the World. This experience is open to all, whether you're a seasoned traveller or total novice.

"We want to hear what undertaking a trip like this would mean to you, and with a cash prize at stake, to what lengths you would go to win."

Applicants must be applying as a team of two and each team member must be over 18 years old at the time of applying for the programme. They must be available to take part in the programme for up to eight weeks currently anticipated to be during September - November 2025.
