BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards: Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Nick Jonas And All Time Low To Headline
It’s that time of the year again when BBC Radio 1′s Teen Awards arrive to honour some incredible unsung teen heroes from around the country.
Not only will the awards celebrate those amazing people who have been making a difference in others’ lives, but the show, which takes place at the SSE Wembley Arena, London, on November 8th, will be jam-packed FULL of exciting musical performances.
Although sadly, our attempts at persuading Radio 1 that no awards show is complete without our infamous Year 3 recorder performance didn’t go so well. BOO.
Instead, the station has organised a FANTASTIC set of headliners for the big bash, with Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Nick Jonas and All Time Low all set to hit the stage during proceedings.
HURRAH!
The boys popped in to see Nick Grimshaw on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning for a cheeky live lounge, a chance for Michael Clifford to show off his DJing skills during the Nixtape, and to, y’know, announce the whole Teen Awards headlining thing.

Later describing just how pumped they are about this year’s awards, they said: “A big thanks to Radio 1 for inviting us to be a part of this year’s Teen Awards.
“We really appreciate their support and we’re proud to be involved in an event that celebrates inspirational teens. Gonna be a big night!”
Little Mix have also spoken about their excitement, explaining: “We literally can’t wait, it’s been three years since we last performed at the Teen Awards - it was the first time we performed DNA and we loved it but we were so nervous, we were terrified.
“Teenagers are always good because they are always up for it, you can expect lots of dancing and lots of harmonies.”
Something tells us this is going to be one HECK of an awards show.
During the night, host Nick Grimshaw will also hand up listener-voted awards for Best British Solo Art, Best British Group, Best British TV Show and many more.
If you fancy popping along (and you’re aged between 14-17 years old), tickets will be on sale from 6.05pm on October 14th (very precise), and will cost £10 plus fees. If you can’t make it, DON’T PANIC as it’ll all be broadcast live on Radio 1.
All the info you need is on their website, so keep checking back for more info.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got a busy day of being super excited ahead of us. BRING ON THE TEEN AWARDS.
