BBC Saturday Kitchen fans issue warning after guest's X-rated blunder on live show
BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers issued a warning ahead of a guest's return after they made an X-rated blunder during a previous live show. TikTok star Poppy O'Toole previously left fans in hysterics during an appearance in March, while cooking alongside host Matt Tebbutt.
As she prepared food for singer Alesha Dixon, Poppy explained she was let go from her job but found fame with millions of followers on social media because of her potato content. When asked about her rise to fame, Poppy accidentally used a rude word for female genitalia three times, instead of saying "on a whim".
Tebbutt corrected her, but she then asked: "What's a q***? " Rather than explain, he brushed off the question and changed the subject. He did say later in the show that he'd learned the word's meaning and would tell Poppy afterwards, leaving her looking concerned.
Poppy returned to the show as a confirmed guest chef, alongside guests Graham Norton, Helen Goh, Yotam Ottolenghi and Helen McGinn. Following the announcement, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One fan excitedly tweeted: "It's LIVE ...... #SaturdayKitchen.", reports the Mirror.
while another added: "#saturdaykitchen Bit risky with Poppy O'Tool on." Despite the pressure, Poppy managed to breeze through her appearance without any mishaps. She delighted viewers with her turkey birria tacos, cooked in a slow cooker, and chatted about her latest cookbook a hit with those watching at home.
Responding positively, one viewer tweeted: "That looks delicious Poppy definitely going to buy your book I love my slow cooker #SaturdayKitchen."
Another chimed in: "Ooo tacos are the best! They look great Poppy! #SaturdayKitchen".
