BBC Saturday Kitchen fans rush to defend show after viewers say 'when will it stop'
BBC Saturday Kitchen has been hit with complaints over "hyping up" Graham Norton. BBC viewers have defended the show after some criticised the line-up on Saturday, with Matt Tebbutt welcoming the BBC talk show host onto the show on September 7.
One Twitter/X user fumed: "WHY the Hype up for Graham Norton ? ? He allegedly criticises / mocks our Royal family and our government pre his BBC Public Funded Show, and is allegedly the only BBC employee who hasn’t to declare his earnings."
Another defended Graham and said: "So sorry Graham. I love you but Yotam's aubergine looks so good. I eat it despite a previous hot oil eye splash injury whilst cooking it!!" Another said: "Fair play to Graham Norton, another *celeb with a book,* he's always been honest enough to admit that it's a big help in getting published when you're already famous for doing something else. #SaturdayKitchen"

"Loving the Graham Norton chat. Will wait for paperback when released of Frankie!" another said, defending the appearance. Another said: "very rude of Matt to interrupt Mr Norton plugging his book and tour (at length). Anyone would think it’s a cookery show and not a book selling one!"
"@SaturdayKitchen I thought BBC didn’t do advertising ? Why am I watching Glorified advert for Graham Norton wines?" another complained. A fellow viewer fumed: "@SaturdayKitchen what's not nice about British food! Every week we are given presentations of food chaos otherwise known as 'Mush'.
"I very much liked Nigel Slater's menus and where has he gone? Let's give real and great British food a plug!!!" Another reasoned: "when are you going to stop this biased popularity contest on the show? Food heaven and food hell is so cringey - just cook something they like!"
"Love this show. Where can I find the list of wines that Helen presented pls? FYI the BBC website is useless!!!!" another commented.
