BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers have said "it beggars belief" as they're left "disappointed" over today's show. Matt Tebbutt's stint on the show on Saturday drew controversy on social media, as fans flocked to complain over the state of the guests on the BBC programme.

One typed: "@SaturdayKitchen So much noise. Everyone talking over each other. Ever heard of the talking teddy? The show could certainly do with one." Another typed: "Same old faces! Considering how many eating establishments there are in the UK it beggars belief that they can’t find anyone new to come on the programme.

"A 16 year old student demonstrating how they prepare and serve a big mac meal would be more interesting… #saturdaykitchen" Another said: "Like all the guests - this programme is nothing more than free advertising at the expense of the licence payer.

"NEVER SQUEEZE A TEABAG! any black tea, squeezing the bag brings out the bitterness. its worse than not boiling the water. I'm disappointed from professional cooks," another wrote. Another said: "Matt! We’re from Switzerland and watch Saturday Kitchen every week - what are you doing to that poor fondue??!!"

Another said: "@amandacactus I enjoy watching my fellow Swede @NiklasEkstedt on @SaturdayKitchen We usually say "Hasselblad potatoes" for that dish, which we have quite often – we're very much into photography in our household! #saturdaykitchen"

During the show, there were some great moments from the BBC food archive, including clips from Rick Stein, the Hairy Bikers, Nigella Lawson and the Two Greedy Italians, Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio.
