BBC Saturday Kitchen star Matt Tebbutt snaps at Graham Norton over 'line of questioning'
BBC Saturday Kitchen star Matt Tebbutt has been forced to step in and "scold" Graham Norton - before the cheeky talk show host ran away. Graham was in the BBC show studio on Saturday September 7 with Matt hosting the programme once more.
Graham appeared on the latest episode of Saturday Kitchen to discuss his new book, titled Frankie. During the interview this morning, Matt, 50, revealed that the main character in Graham's book is particularly good at making a béarnaise sauce.
"It's a standard béarnaise recipe - without chives. That was a bit strange," Matt told Graham. After discussing the sauce, Graham asked if heating the butter separately was a "modern thing" and Matt responded: "I think it's a classic thing."

He then explained you add clarified butter. "What is clarified butter?" Graham asked. While explaining the process, Graham interjected: "So do you put that through the sieve then?" Matt sighed and responded: "So many questions!"
Upon hearing this, Graham then pelted it to the other side of the kitchen counter and looked worried as laughter rang out in the studio among the fellow guests, chefs, wine experts and even the production staff and runners on the crew too.
It comes a week after Tebbutt said one of his biggest challenges is not swearing because “you forget you’re on TV” – and over eight years he’s made a few blunders. “You have to remember you’re on telly, and you can get very comfortable and act and say things you would in your own kitchen with your friends – you could easily swear, because I’m quite sweary” says the 50 year old, who replaced James Martin as presenter in 2016.
“I called Peter Gordon [a New Zealand chef] a f*****g genius, under my breath. I had to apologise, I was mortified.”
