BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers rush to defend guest after 'divisive' interview
BBC Saturday Kitchen fans have hit out at a "Marmite" guest who sparked a backlash on today's show. Matt Tebbutt was joined by Paul Whitehouse during September 28's edition of the show, which aired from 10am until 11.30am on BBC One.
One fan typed on Twitter, now X: "Paul Whitehouse is so annoying and everything he says he has to try & be funny and the others laughing prob thinking the same #SaturdayKitchen." Another said: "Looking at the #saturdaykitchen tag, it seems Paul Whitehouse is a ‘Marmite’ guest - people either love him, or find him annoying. I’m firmly in the former group. He’s a naturally funny guy."
"@SaturdayKitchen fair to say comedy legend Paul Whitehouse has made this mornings instalment one of pure joy and laughter! #SaturdayKitchen" wrote another. Another laughed: "Loving Paul Whitehouse bringing his "what'll he say next?" edge to #SaturdayKitchen this morning."

"You should watch him & Bob Mortimer on the fishing programme they do - and no, I don't know anything about fishing but it's so funny the pair of them" Another posted: "Paul Whitehouse actually talking a lot of sense here, ADHD is great if you can monetise it in some way, otherwise, life can be very difficult indeed. #SaturdayKitchen"
Another said: "Lots of Gen Z and millennials are diagnosing themselves with ADHD and other mental health disorders using “advice” from TikTok these days" Another wrote: "Loved the programme today but I feel I must point out as a 'Boomer' that it was not a pie, it was a steak and kidney pudding. Just saying. #Saturdaykitchen"
