BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers squirm after star 'can't hide her disdain' for fellow guest
BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers have been left squirming after frostiness in the studio on Saturday - after Matt Tebbutt welcomed in a new range of guests. Tebbutt was joined by chefs Andi Oliver and Nathan Outlaw, and by special guests Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby.
During the BBC show, which included clips from Rick Stein, the Hairy Bikers, Nadiya Hussain and the Two Greedy Italians, Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio, fans suggested Andi was NOT impressed with her younger co-hort of stars. Drinks expert Helen McGinn was also in the studio picking the wines to go with the studio dishes.
"Oh dear, fancy being "ashamed" of having bought a £9 bottle of wine, how ****ing dreadful for you! #SaturdayKitchen," a critic sniped. One fumed: "How middle class is @SaturdayKitchen? "You can take this bottle to someone's house and they won't know you only spent £9 on it"." A second fumed: "Matt,....what a bloody row this morning. This has to be a switch off...cheerio!"

"Love Andi Oliver.. I reckon she is going to have a quiet word with the producers after being put on with this lot. #SaturdayKitchen," another commented on social media. Another asked: "It’s not raining, why doesn’t Matt send the kids outside to play whilst the grown ups are cooking and getting pissed on Helen’s supermarket wine cellar?… #saturdaykitchen "
Promoting the show today, Women in Food Industry wrote on social media: "Look out for "English Quality Sparkling Wine" mentioned on a label if you are looking for Sparkling Wine made using traditional champagne methods"
Defending the show, another fan praised the line up and said: "Obviously in a minority but I’ve quite enjoyed the guests this morning! #saturdaykitchen " And another said: "Loving how Andi Oliver isn’t hiding her disdain for these loud, shouty radio slobs… #saturdaykitchen."
Another said: "The DJs are too loud and annoying and quaffing wine like they are in the ‘spoons. This is not why I watch Sat Kitchen. Can someone tell them to turn their volume knob down. Andi is great though. #saturdaykitchen "
"I used to love Capital radio and listened to it all the time when I lived in London. I remember listening to the first broadcast in 1973 it was so exciting having an alternative to radio 1. They used to have the best DJs and presenters," another moaned.
Another wrote: "Goodness me I bet the Soundman needs a valium and a lie down in a dark room after that programme! I know I need a paracetamol....that was not good!"
