BBC Strictly Come Dancing Chris McCausland 'done' as fans break down in tears after exit admission
Strictly Come Dancing viewers broke down in tears after Chris McCausland's performance on tonight's show. The Scouse comedian wowed fans with his inspiring performance alongside Dianne Buswell.
The show's first ever blind contestant had set week 10 as his target in the competition as this was when Dianne's parents, Rina and Mark, would travel from Australia to be in the audience. The professional dancer's parents had not seen her perform live for seven years and Chris wanted to make her dream a reality due to the way she has supported him.
He told the ECHO in an exclusive interview this month: "This is nothing without her, she has got the most out of me and I think it will be nice if we're both able to give something to each other. If we can get to that moment then stick a fork in me, I'll be done. But certainly, I'm hoping to stay in this for as long as possible."
Chris and Dianne's dream came true tonight as Mark and Rina were in the audience for their Paso Doble. Mark was overwhelmed with emotion after the performance and broke down in tears.

Viewers following the show on X were overwhelmed with emotion after Mark's response. Ash said: "Dianne's dad crying after their dance has absolutely sent me. so happy they could be here" Katie commented: "I cannot cope when I see a dad crying with pride"
Jade added: "Dianne’s dad has me bawling" Calire commented: "Oh my Diane's Dad" Karen posted: "Oh gawd... Papa Buswell is making me well up. They are so proud of Dianne"
Ann commented: "dianne’s dad crying after seeing her and chris dance has me crying" Megan said: "MARK AND RINA HAVE ME SOBBING IM SO HAPPY CHRIS & DIANNE ARE STILL IN SO WE COULD GET THIS MOMENT"
Chris was scored 33 by the judges and was proud he managed to achieve his pipedream as he reflected on the milestone. He said: "I thought it would be a disaster. When we realised it kind of wasn't everyone started talking Blackpool and Dianne said her parents were here the week after so that kind of became [the target]. It may be a bit of pipedream, but if we try hard enough and here we are.
"Its not just down to what we've down there. There's been a few weeks when we've needed the people at home to make sure we're here so thanks to everyone."
Although Chris has achieved what he set out to do, fans are not ready for him to leave the competition. Jane said: "In tears again Love them both Chris and Diane to win!"
Jen added: "If Chris doesn’t win @bbcstrictly #strictly there’s no justice. I don’t care if other people are “better”, he and Dianne bring the joy and that’s what it’s about."
