Just days before their debut on the Strictly Come Dancing live show, Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Prystal have found themselves on the wrong side of BBC bosses. The former Towie star and professional dancer are due to take to the floor for the first time together on Saturday.

They will be dancing a paso doble to the Prodigy's Breathe for their debut routine in the competition. But Pete revealed to his followers that the pair had received a warning from bosses after failing to update social media.

On Instagram, Pete said: "Right, so, we've been told off. We've been told off because we haven't done any social media together from rehearsals.

"So today we're going to do a QandA. So you can ask Jowita and I anything, and we're going to answer your questions in our little breaks. There aren't many breaks, to be honest with you, but we will answer any questions. So you can ask us anything."

When asked by a fan to share "the best thing about each other", Pete didn't hold back: "That's easy for me. She is a little ray of sunshine, and I look forward to coming here everyday. She makes me happy."

Jowita echoed the sentiments with her own praise: "The best thing about Pete, he makes me laugh so much. And he's the most hard-working person I've ever met in my life."

The first official episode of Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday, September 21 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7pm.
