BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers have noticed a star's "hidden pain" after he danced through injury on Saturday night. Nick, the BBC DIY SOS star, is paired up with Luba Mushtuk - and the duo returned to the dancefloor after just 16 hours training, after Nick's arm was left in a sling all week following an accident while changing a tyre on a motorway.

Knowles performed one-armed lifts on his Strictly Come Dancing return to the dancefloor after injuring his arm and shoulder earlier this week. His hopes of performing on Saturday’s live show had been thrown into doubt after he damaged his bicep when trying to change a car tyre, but he confirmed on Thursday he had medical clearance.

Knowles landed a score of 21 and a total of 39, with his professional partner Luba Mushtuk for their American smooth to Parklife by Blur. Ballas said what they had achieved with only 16 hours of rehearsal time was “absolutely amazing”.

"#Strictly I think Nick did well with his dance but he looked in pain with his arm at the end. Hope he's ok. Lovely choreography by Luba" a fan type on Twitter, now X. Another posted: "nick is the literal definition of smiling through the pain right now he should’ve definitely sat this out".

And another fan rushed to comment, and added: "Definitely looked like Nick was in pain there." Another on social media wrote to say: "Fair play to Nick he did well considering he had 16 hours but I’m not fully convinced yet!"

Nick said: "Luba has been extraordinary. From the moment she knew I was injured she has been looking at alternative ways. She must have rebuilt this dance ten times." And the professional dancer herself added: "He is looking incredibly well in hold. He has potential in ballroom!"
