BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans share why judges are 'picking' on star
Strictly Come Dancing fans have taken to social media to share why they believe Jamie Borthwick is being unfairly targeted by judges. Every year there are suspicions one star or another is not favoured by Shirley Ballas and her crew - and this year rumours are abound about the EastEnders star.
Pete Wicks, JLS's own JB Gill, and reality star Tasha Ghouri all garnered high marks from Shirley this week on the BBC One show. The former Love Island favourite nabbed the perfect ten from her, while Pete Wicks earned accolades for his heartfelt homage performed in memory of his late nan.
Yet, despite having impressed the judges priorly, EastEnders actor Jamie didn't clinch a top score this time around.

Executing an Argentine tango to an Arctic Monkeys hit, he only managed to woo Shirley Ballas for seven points. "Somehow it didn't quite work for me this evening," Shirley remarked during Strictly Come Dancing.
"At the end your hands were shaking which showed me there was too much tension running through your body. Why? Because you want to get to Blackpool, you're good enough to get to Blackpool."
She added: "It was just a little bit lumpy, and I never use that word, but we have to learn at this point on week eight we have to pivot on a foot to create flow and make things smooth."
Fans were left scratching their heads, some reckoning he'd surpassed Pete Wicks given the increased complexity of his dance. One viewer commented: "Shirley hates Jamie almost every week! Which makes a change, given he's a man! ".
A second expressed their frustration: "I feel like the judges have done a complete U-turn with Jamie and now they're overly harsh on him? ? ".
"They're always so harsh on Jamie in comparison to everyone else. It's boring," another said. While a fellow Strictly fan added: "Shirley so pedantic about Jamie's really difficult dance Argentinian Tango but gave Pete a 10 for a couple's choice."
