Lauren Oakley has left fans issuing a fresh demand to Strictly Come Dancing bosses as she made a return to screens. The dancer made an appearance on It Takes Two after another star had to pull out of heading up one of the show's regular segments.

Host Fleur East was joined on the show by Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones, to discuss their exit from the BBC One dance contest for the frist time as well as suriving couples Pete Wicks and Jowita Pryzstal and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola.

But Lauren also made an appearance as she took charge of the spin-off show's 'Choreography Corner' segment after Fleur revealed that Strictly's former pro Kevin Clifton was meant to fulfil the role on Monday and Tuesday's shows, but couldn’t make it.

It meant that Lauren was on hand to discuss the latest rotuines from the ballroom, whcih took place on Saturday night (October 5) during Strictly's annual Movie Week.

And it left fans with a demand over the dancer, who isn't competing in the dance show's 20th-anniversary year after not being given a celebrity dance partner after getting her first last year in the shap of Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

One viewer said: "How good was @laurenmayoakley doing Choreography Corner? So insightful. Can we have her every week please @BBC @bbcstrictly?" Another asked: "Can Lauren do it every week?" A third shared: "Lauren is brilliant on Choreography Corner. I’d love to see her do it more regularly."

Lauren missed out on a celebrity dance partner this year alongside Kai Widdrington and Carlo Gu this year when the pairings for the 2024 series were revealed during the Strictly launch show last month.

And while fans were left gutted to realise that Lauren, Kai and Carlos had missed out this year, they are still very much be part of the series - and the 'Strictly Family' - and have already - and will continue to - appear in various dance throughout the show's 2024 season.
