BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans share same 'worry for JB' after Amy Dowden's exit
Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are worried that JB Gill might face elimination from the show after his dance partner Amy Dowden has been forced to skip a week. Amy, 37, who has recently been declared free of breast cancer, was taken to hospital on Saturday night after she collapsed backstage following the main show.
The star, who also suffers from Chron's disease, was rushed to hospital after dancing with JLS star JB on Saturday night. Despite the setback, JB, also 37, is continuing with the competition and was spotted arriving at rehearsals with a smile.
He will be dancing with Lauren Oakley for Icons week after it was revealed she would replace Amy as she rests following her hospitilisation. However, fans of Strictly are expressing their concerns that JB could be on the chopping block after his upcoming Couple's Choice dance without Amy.

They fear that JB's unfamiliarity with his stand-in partner Lauren Oakley may affect his performance. On a Reddit forum, a fan expressed their apprehension: "I worry for JB now. Couple's Choice routines are usually the highlights of an evening, and Tasha [Ghouri]'s dance will definitely be a standout and be very emotional, so I think JB's CC will likely get overshadowed unless its completely knockout."
Another Strictly Come Dancing fan chimed in: "That was one of my initial worries too when I heard there were going to be two couple choice routines." Another fan suggested: "JB could potentially close the show with his as he has yet to go last, which could maybe help? And I do think the audience will really throw their support behind him, Amy and Lauren this week. And JB is a good dancer and I do believe that this Couple Choice will showcase that!"
