BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans fear 'nightmare' for Chris McCausland after spotting 'issue'
Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland, partnered with Dianne Buswell, remains the top contender for the crown, yet supporters have spotted a potential obstacle for the comic.
BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing gears up for its much-awaited Halloween special, with contestants donning their spookiest attire. Chris McCausland, making history as the competition's first blind contestant, has consistently impressed judges and viewers with his remarkable talent from the start.
With each passing week, Chris and Dianne's chances of clinching the series title have soared, positioning him as the clear frontrunner to win the Glitterball Trophy. Nonetheless, a sense of unease has emerged among fans on Reddit, who have debated his technical prowess in comparison to fellow competitors.

A user by the name Major_Bee4483 commented: "I love Chris, not just his humour and comebacks but he is genuinely a great dancer, I think he'll make it all the way...the only issue is, if he's in a dance-off against say, Tasha, it's still judges vote how can they choose him over her?".
The discussion continued with the same user adding: "The public would for sure, but the judges if they're going on technicality?? I'd want him in there tho 100% already deserves to be in the final in my eyes."
Another fan, Godfish23, chimed in to offer comfort, stating: "If the public are voting for him so heavily Chris will never have to worry about a dance-off."
Backing Chris, Sixmoreplz commented: "Yeah I suspect the only way he'd ever leave before winning the damn thing is an injury withdrawal (which we don't want)! ".
On the potential of Chris landing in the dance-off, they further remarked: "God what a nightmare situation that would be - imagine having to pick between Chris and Tasha?".
"If that ever happened I suspect that the judges would decide to vote two a piece to keep in, so that it'd be a tie and then go with the public vote instead (which Chris would win)."
Another enthusiast clarified that there is no public vote post the dance-off and if there is a split decision, head judge Shirley Ballas would have the final say.
In a distinct Reddit post, Low_Food2893 confessed to holding an "unpopular opinion" about Chris, labelling him as "overhyped".
They continued to express their belief that fellow comedian and actress Sarah Hadland deserved a higher score, replying to a fan: "So you think Chris tonight was stronger than Sarah? I mean we're all entitled to our opinions but I think marking tonight was rather off."
Kindly_Category7810 chimed in: "I think Chris was accurately scored and Sarah was underscored - but her being underscored isn't Chris' fault."
Judge Craig Revel Horwood has not held back from providing constructive feedback to Chris, particularly following his emotional waltz to You'll Never Walk Alone.
He highlighted some technical issues with the performance, remarking: "I did actually have a moment," before adding, "and then I thought about the technicalities of it. Your left elbow is way too low. It lacked any sort of swing."
Despite his critique, his colleagues on the panel were visibly moved by the routine.
Make sure to tune in for Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday on BBC One at 6.25pm.
