BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans distracted by Claudia Winkleman's outfit
Strictly Come Dancing fans were distracted as soon as Saturday's live show commenced. The iconic duo Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly returned to present the latest series of the dance competition but it was Claudia's attire during the introduction that caught viewers' attention.
Sporting an expansive, cream-coloured pantsuit with voluminous sleeves and a belted waist, topped off with a high collar, Claudia drew instant comparisons to Star Wars legend Princess Leia. Viewers instantly flocked to X to air their opinions, one quipped: "Hey Claudia Princess Leia wants her dress back!"
Another wrote: "Claudia is serving MONK in that dress!", while someone else said: "Why is Claudia Winkleman dressed like she's in Star Wars?"

Another fan commented: "The force is strong with Claudia tonight!" and another suggested: "Claudia is Princess Leia and Tess is an imperial guard tonight. And Paul Merson has been truly shafted with the song and costume choices."
Strictly has returned with a bang for its 2024 season following an electrifying launch show. In week one, the stars align with their pro partners eyeing their first position on the leaderboard post-performance, reports the Mirror.
Though no celebrities will be sent packing during the initial week thanks to critique and scoring by the judges, week two introduces the real pressure, when we wave goodbye to the first celebrity contestant.
Viewers will have the opportunity to participate when the lines open in week two next Saturday (September 28), and the first elimination of the series will be broadcast the following night (Sunday, September 29). Tonight's show started at 7pm on BBC One, but there won't be a results show this weekend.
Currently leading the betting odds are X Factor winner Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill. However, former professional dancer Erin Boag has cautioned that Miranda star Sarah Hadland is also a strong contender.
