BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans baffled by Wynne Evans 'mysterious disappearance' from live show
Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left scratching their heads as Wynne Evans practically disappeared on the live show on Saturday night, The Go Compare advert celebrity was notably missing for large parts of the BBC One hit following the controversy with his partner Katya Jones last week.
Wynne, 52, was shown walking down the stairs with his partner at the start of the live show as expected. But as more contestants headed to the 'Claudatorium', Wynne's presence dwindled.
Tasha Ghouri, Jamie Borthwick and Paul Merson all received their scores while he possibly lurked behind the scenes. His absence was made even clearer as his dance partner Katya Jones could be seen just steps away from Claudia Winkleman.

Viewers quickly tuned into the puzzle of his sudden scarcity, flocking to Twitter to express their confusion. One viewer pondered: "Have we seen much of Wynne in the Clauditorium this evening? Don't remember seeing him at all."
Another spectator asked: "Where's Wynne?" A third probed: "Has Wynne and Katya been in the background at any point tonight? ", with a fourth noting: "Yes but mostly apart."
Meanwhile, a fifth fan quipped: "Production manager 'Keep Katya and Wynne out of all back round shots I repeat keep Katya and Wynne out of all back round shots'.
Wynne eventually made a comeback post-Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin's performance halfway through the broadcast. Keen observers didn't miss the chance to note how 'awkward' he seemed next to his dance partner.
One viewer described the scene, saying: "Wynne and Katya looking awkward is comedy moment of the night." While another pointed out: "Wynne keeping his hands resolutely in. His. Pockets."
This incident follows an interaction between the pair on last week's show going viral. Katya was seen brushing Wynne's hand away as he placed it on her waist.
In a following uneasy exchange onscreen with Claudia, Katya chose not to high-five Wynne. The duo later took to social media to apologise for the incident which made viewers feel 'uncomfortable'.
They said it was all a 'silly joke' between them and later insisted they are 'good friends'.
