BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans livid as latest celeb exits and blast Shirley Ballas for 'pathetic reason'
Strictly Come Dancing fans were livid as the latest celebrity was axed from the competition after the judges were split. Head judge Shirley Ballas had the deciding vote - and fans were very annoyed by her reasoning for sending Shayne Ward home over Wynne Evans after a tense dance-off in the studio.
Both Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse had chosen to save the former X Factor and Coronation Street star, but Shirley had the final say after Anton Du Beke said he felt a 'greater expression and greater energy' from Wynne. Shirley revealed why she chose to save Wynne, saying it was a 'difficult choice' and she didn't want to see either couple leave.
But she added: "Based on this dance alone one performer displayed a more joyous routine." Fans were angry as they blasted Shirley for the 'unfair' comment.

One wrote: "No! Totally wrong Anton and Shirley! A rumba is never joyous, how can that be the deciding factor? Very disappointing #strictly."
A second agreed: "So Shirley saves Wynne cos his dance was more joyous, Shayne was doing a f…ing rumba fgs. Stupid reasoning #strictly."
A third said: "“Because one was more joyous” Well duh, one was an emotional rumba Shirley!" A fourth added: "I like Wynne but let's be honest he could have totally messed up his dance and Shirley would have saved him. You could call it before they danced. "One dance was more joyous":....when has the Rhumba ever been joyous? Pathetic reason to choose. # strictly."
A fifth commented: "Wynne constantly gets overmarked and hasn’t shown much improvement the last few weeks. No idea how he’s still there. Shayne and Nancy were robbed. #Strictly." And another fan added: "I'm so upset... Shayne thoroughly deserved to win that dance off... he should be going to Blackpool."
Another viewer wrote: "Oh i am so f****** angry wtf was that result? #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly."
Shayne was emotional after his exit was announced. He said: "This has honestly been one of the best things I've ever done. I am proud that I made it to 8 weeks as a novice dance.
"But my massive thank you goes to this incredible human [pro Nancy] who has just put so much fire in me and just made me believe I can achieve more if I just let myself go. I'm sorry it didn't work out til the end but I'm so porud that I got to meet you and dance with you."
Nancy told Shayne: "I'm beyond proud of this dance partnership. Shayne from week one until this point, every second you put your feet on the dance floor you improved yourself.
"You're a big thinker, you always doubt yourself, you never believed yourself. But I never ever questioned about you.
"I've turned someone who never dance before in their life to actually become an amazing dancer. You should believe in yourself."
Strictly Come Dancing returns next week with a special episode being broadcast from the Blackpool Tower ballroom.
