BBC Strictly Come Dancing Shayne Ward's 'forever' vow as he breaks silence on emotional exit and distracts with change

Shayne Ward caused a distraction among Strictly Come Dancing fans as he sported another new change as he broke is silence on his emotional exit.

The singer and actor was the seventh celebrity to exit the BBC One dance contest over the weekend after landing in the dreaded dance-off for a third time with his professional dance partner Nancy Xu, this time against Wynne Evans and Katya Jones.

Sunday night's (November 10) results show saw both couples having to re-perform their latest routines, with Shayne and Nancy reprising their rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper before Wynne and Katya took to the dance floor again with their American Smooth to Grace Kelly by MIKA.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Shayne and Nancy, as did Motsi, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya. With two votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, the decision came down to head judge Shirley, who decided to save Wynne and Katya.

Shayne and Nancy then appeared on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Monday (November 11) to discuss their exit with host Fleur East. They were seen sharing an emotional moment when looking back on their time together with Nancy wiping away tears for both her and Shayne on the sofa.

But Strictly fans were distracted as his sported another changed look thanks to his hair. @notjanpeteh said: "Shayne looks so good with this hairstyle #ItTakesTwo." @RyanTheSoapking commented: "Shayne needs to keep his hair like that it suits him #ItTakesTwo #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." @FlopsyPickle added: "Shayne’s hair looks a million times better the way it’s styled tonight as opposed to the perm he normally has #StrictlyComeDancing #ItTakesTwo."

Shayne then went on to take to social media where he broke his silence on his exit in a gushing tribute to his dance partner Nancy. Alongside a sweet picture of him kissing her hand during what ended up being their final performance together, the former Coronation Street star said: "From the moment I met you I knew this was going to be special. I’m a believer that 'everything happens for a reason'.

"This may have been our last dance together on @bbcstrictly but it’s not our last dance in life. I have grown in so many ways because of your guidance…Your belief, your determination to help me let myself go. I was so grateful for the endless support day in, day out. For me I was honestly given the best partner! (Huge Love to all others partners too).

"This experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions.. highs lows and endless spins. And I would do it all again if you asked me. I have gained a friend in you! And for that I am truly grateful. This is not where our journey ends…in fact, 'This is just the beginning'. Keep being you @nancy_xuxi Because you are beautiful inside and out. And I hope some day you get everything your desire and deserve ,because it’s coming…so be ready!"

He added: "Thank you to the whole @bbcstrictly family for this wonderful experience. To all the professional dancers who gave me so much of their time, their words of wisdom and most of their expertise to further my progress. Every Frame check, Toe ball heel, Chin up, Chest out, Hip rotation, I felt so lucky to be stretched.
