BBC Strictly Come Dancing star causes uproar with remark about Chris McCausland on It Takes Two
A BBC Strictly Come Dancing star has left viewers in shock after a comment about Chris McCausland. Chris, who is blind, continues to compete on the BBC show, partnered up with pro dancer Dianne Buswell, with Strictly Come Dancing returning tonight.
Ahead of Saturday's programme, Fleur East was joined by former Strictly winner Ore Oduba on It Takes Two. Discussing Chris landing in the dance off, Ore had a scathing remark, saying: "I'm here representing the musical theatre community.
"If you come out on telly, on record saying you hate musicals, you're asking for troubs!" Ore continued: "No, I think they're an amazing pair. It's just the kind of thing that when you're so behind someone, people kind of think that they don't need to vote.

"So you've got to make sure you vote for people you want to see next week!" Taking to Twitter, now X, one social media user said: "Ore talking absolute nonsense, people won't stop voting for Chris for making a joke comment about not liking musicals ffs."
"Friday panel has spoken: it is Pete & Jowita 2 - Chris & Dianne 1. The latter because Chris said he hates musicals..." a second wrote. And a third chipped in to say: "Ore saying on the Friday panel that he thinks Chris could be leaving this week as people will assume he’s getting all the votes and not vote for him...
"Yeah THIS is exactly what we can’t let happen!!!" Last week the BBC show brought back the Dance-a-thon format - where every celebrity takes to the floor performing the same dance simultaneously - for the first time in six years on Saturday.
But fans of the BBC programme, including former contestant Vanessa Feltz, said the format was “unfair” on Chris, the show’s first ever blind contestant.
