BBC Strictly Come Dancing star halts Chris McCausland's It Takes Two interview with 'bone to pick'
Chris McCausland has been forced to defend himself as a BBC Strictly Come Dancing star halted his It Takes Two interview with a "bone to pick". The BBC star is paired up with Dianne Buswell for the ongoing series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Ahead of Saturday night's new episode, Chris - who is blind - appeared in the It Takes Two studio alongside pro dancer Dianne. The pair were interviewed by Janette Manrara, the former show pro who typically shares hosting duties with Fleur East.
Dianne said: “It’s really important to always create some sort of vision in Chris’ head so that he has an idea of how he should feel, how he should stand, but yeah it was a lot of me placing him into really odd shapes and going ‘this is right’ and he’s going ‘it’s not right Di, but it is right!.”

Chris added: “Let’s not forget that she fell over and I picked her up as well so, you know, it works both ways doesn’t it.” Janette added: “What’s funny is she moved the skirt so you didn’t step on it and then she almost stepped on it herself bless her.”
Janette told him: “Chris I have a bone to pick with you, on the results show you used the word pointless to describe musicals. Chris, now that you’re deep into rehearsals, have you started to see the point in them?” Chris then replied: “Do you know, what if I wasn’t allowed to exaggerate my stupid opinions for a laugh then there’d be no such thing as comedy.
“I’m a stand-up comedian and I say stupid things and I say them to get a laugh. I’m not a musical theatre fan but I do like the kids’ ones and we all grew up on the films didn’t we.”
