Karen Hauer is the latest Strictly Come Dancing star to shut down rumours she's set to be axed from the show after co-star Johannes Radebe also had to speak out.

Last week, Johannes, who joined the BBC One dance show in 2018, couldn't help but respond to circulating rumours that he is poised to quit Strictly next year as he takes on his first big stage role in Kinky Boots.

Taking to Instagram last Thursday evening (November 7), Johannes shared a clip from the rehearsal room with his Olympian dance partner Montell and in a clip, was seen singing along to certain words of a song before he said: "I'm not going nowhere!"

He then wrote alongside the post, which featured a screengrab of the headline in question: "I'm not going nowhere! The story isnt 'true' - I love @bbcstrictly and I want to do this beautiful show for as long as they want me - and the body will allow. I have Kinky Boots and other work in the pipeline yes but nothing will take me away. Love you all Jojo Xx".

It was then reported that Strictly bosses were planning a mass axe of some of its professional dancers, including Karen, as part of a 'fresh start' in the wake of the scandal surrounding the show's former stars Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.

Taking to social media over the weekend, Karen shared a look at her glamourous appearance for her Saturday evening in the ballroom to support her fellow Strictly stars following her exit from the competition last month, before comparing it to how she was spending her Sunday morning cleaning her house.

Alongside the post she wrote: "Saturday night Vs Sunday Morning [crying laughing emoji]. glam squad of dreams @gemflossi & @lucajoneshair." But in response, one of Karen's followers wrote: "I hope the rumour isn't true that you are leaving strictly," to which the dancer bluntly replied: "Utter rubbish/"
