BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks has halted ITV This Morning to "set the record straight". The ITV The Only Way Is Essex star was alongside Jowitz Przystal on Wednesday (October 30) as the pair were grilled by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

BBC celebrity contestant Pete was grilled over reports of a love triangle between him and Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita, and ITV Love Island star Maura Higgins. Host Alison asked: "Do you even listen to the judges because I'd take it with a pinch of salt really, Craig, the way he cussed your Samba that was a bit out of order but do you actually listen to them or are you just in your own little world?"

Pete replied: "I'm just in my own little world, we're in a bit of a bubble when we dance!" to which Alison went straight in with the cheeky questions as she asked: "Is it a love bubble?" Pete said: "It's not a love bubble unfortunately... I mean you came in early, that was about 30 seconds before you went in with it!"

In reply, Alison joked: "I was straight in there!" Pete continued: "You were straight in there! No, it's not a love bubble, we have great chemistry because we've become such good friends! She's one of the most amazing people I've ever met, genuinely, not just in the dancing side of things but outside of that and I think that helps us with the whole dancing thing."

Pete went on to say: "Yeah, it's always the same, I'm used to it ten years that's all anyone ever interested in that side of stuff... but we don't really listen to that stuff!" It comes as Pete has been spotted with Love Island's Maura Higgins on a number of occasions with the Sun newspaper publishing photos of the pair kissing.
