BBC Strictly Come Dancing star emerges as 'new front-runner' with favourite 'next to go'
A new 'front-runner' has emerged in Strictly Come Dancing as it appears a show favourite is at risk of heading home this weekend. Week eight of the BBC One dance contest will see the nine remaining couples once again take the dance floor.
On Saturday night (November 9), there is no theme to distract the couples after two in a row - the Halloween special and the first-ever Icons Week - and they'll be sure to be fighting for their place in the competition ahead of next weekend's Blackpool special.
It ended up being a rollercoaster of a night last Saturday on the dance floor with JB Gill bouncing back from a partner swap as he performed with new dance partner Lauren Oakley to achieve his highest score of the series so far while Pete Wicks was left apologising to Jowita Przystal as their performance landed them bottom of the leaderboard.

But a new week is nowahead and this week's dance and song choices have already been revealed. Starting with JB and Lauren and they'll be performing a Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes while Pete and Jowita will aim to bounce back with a couple's choice routine to The Best by Nicotine Dolls.
Another couple's choice will be performed by Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell to John Lennon’s Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) while Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, who survived Sunday’s (November 3) dance-off, will return with a Paso Doble to The Shapeshifter's Lola’s Theme.
Also, Wynne Evans and Katya Jones will dance to MIKA’s Grace Kelly whilst Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola will perform to Proud by Heather Small.
Meanwhile, Jamie Borthwick & Michelle Tsiakkas will perform the Argentine Tango to ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ by Arctic Monkeys, Shayne Ward & Nancy Xu will dance the Rumba to Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec will perform a Quickstep to Fantasy by Mariah Carey.
But ahead of the next live show, Tasha has emerged as the front-runner and most likely to win It comes as the former Love Island star topped the leaderboard with 39 points on Saturday night, following her near-perfect couple’s choice routine to Pink's 'What About Us' during Icons Week.
A supercomputer from FruitySlots.com has factored in the latest scores to determine who has the highest probability of winning, with Tasha and partner Aljaž Škorjanec coming out on top with 17.2%.
Tasha is followed by EastEnders star Jamie (16.4%), who is set to take on the Argentine Tango on Saturday night, and reality TV’s Pete (12.7%) ahead of his upcoming emotional couple’s choice routine.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, Chris is currently only tipped with a win percentage of 7.4%, so could be next to leave this weekend. Despite being a fan favourite, the comedian hasn’t had the best of luck in recent weeks, after landing 29 points for his recent Tango with partner Dianne Buswell. And according to the calculations, opera singer Wynne Evans is also low down the rankings with 8.2% - but only time will tell.
