Dianne Buswell has admitted she's found being on the live tour without Chris McCausland "really tough". The BBC Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer and Chris, aged 47, won't be performing together on the tour despite him winning the Glitterball Trophy in December.

Chris won the 2024 series of the hit BBC show but has been forced to miss the Strictly Live Tour owing to his stand-up tour. "Chris can't do [the tour]. It's actually been really tough for me to see everyone else with their partners and to know that Chris can't do it," Dianne commented.

"It has been really tough," she said. Dianne continued: "However, I'm really excited to still be a part of it and very very grateful for that. So y'know I'm counting my lucky stars there. I've come home for the weekend and I've decided I'll start a new vlog, the final weekend before tour."

Th Aussie pro was dealt a blow when Chris confirmed last year that he would not be joining her, with it revealed that the dates clashed with his Yonks! stand-up tour. Chris added at the time: "It's unfortunate as it's been so much fun, but my own dates can't be moved for a second time."

The tour bega on Friday in Birmingham with actress Sarah Hadland, Ghouri, JLS singer JB Gill, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and opera signer Wynne Evans, The X Factor winner Shayne Ward and Gladiators star Montell Douglas all confirmed in the line-up.

Ghouri told the PA news agency that McCausland’s partnership with Australian dancer Dianne was so “incredible” and “inspiring”, and she felt “so lucky to be part of that this year”. She added: “It’s a shame that he can’t be here, but he’s here with us in our hearts, he really is, truly a special guy.”
