BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova coming to Leicester

Nadiya Bychkova, the Ballroom and Latin World Champion and Strictly Come Dancing professional, is bringing her brand new, intimate show, to Leicester. A Special Evening with Nadiya Bychkova forms part of the dancing star's national tour.

Taking place in Leicester's Holiday Inn, Nadiya will be performing numbers and telling stories from her incredible career, and sharing the behind-the-scenes gossip from her Saturday night Strictly Come Dancing appearances. Hosted by Jamie Cutler, who is a British Ballroom Champion in his own right, audiences will even get a chance to ask their own questions during the show.

A limited number of meet and greet VIP tickets are also available, allowing fans to meet Nadiya for a photo opportunity beforehand. Nadiya said: “I’m very excited to bring this up close and personal show to these lovely venues on my latest tour. It’s a chance for people to meet me and hear my stories."

She continued: "I will talk about my upbringing, my early years competing across the world, travelling with my ,um, the heartbreaks and highs of becoming a professional dancer and finally landing my dream job of being a professional dancer on the world’s favourite TV show. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!”

Nadiya first appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017. Over the years she has partnered with footballer David James, musician Matt Goss and the popular broadcaster Dan Walker, and became a beloved addition to the line-up.

Discussing her route into the show she said: "The year after that I had my beautiful daughter Mila. I realised pretty quickly that the world of professional dancing was not best suited to being a mum, so in 2017 I took up the opportunity to come to the UK and work on a show called Strictly Come Dancing. I knew it was big, but only realised just how big it was when I started dancing on it."

The 35-year-old is a two-time World Champion and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin Dance, winning in 2014 and 2015. She is also a multiple-time Slovenian Ballroom and Latin Champion and has participated in the Bosnian version of Strictly Come Dancing.

She went on to feature in the UK touring productions of Strictly Come Dancing Live!, and Strictly Come Dancing The Professionals. Nadiya appeared in her own headline tours of Here Come The Boys, alongside Aljaž, Nikita, and Pasha and the hugely successful Once Upon A Time and Behind The Magic tours with Kai Widdrington.

Nadiya made three promises to her prospective audiences: "Promise number one - You will have an incredible night. Promise number two - I will tell you some secrets. You’ll also get the chance to ask me anything you like… I’m not promising to answer everything, but we will have some fun together. Promise number three - There will be some amazing dancing."
