BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara issues baby Lyra update and fans have 'tears in eyes'

BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has been flooded with support after sharing a sweet video of her baby Lyra Rose's first trip to the United States. The BBC presenter took her daughter to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time during a trip to Florida.

Strictly Come Dancing pro Janette has travelled to Miami to see Janette's family with their baby girl and husband Aljaz Skorjanec.

Janette said on Instagram: "Our first long haul flight and it was not as easy or straightforward as we would have liked, but we made it to Miami and in the midst of the madness we found pockets of joy and excitement to be travelling together as a little family. Also, how cute is Lyra sleeping in the bassinet? Thanks for checking in everyone."

In a follow up video of Lyra Rose meeting the iconic Disney characters, Janette said: "My heart. When Lyra Rose met #MickeyMouse," before adding the classic Disney track, 'When You Wish Upon a Star'. In reply, a fan said: @margaretrhughes posted: "Aww my goodness her little face kicking her legs with excitement just adorable."

A second said: "Pure joy. Her little face, those kicky feet, her first few steps with Mickey. Such precious memories. Have a magical time." And another Instagram user wrote abck to say: "So precious. Her little legs giggling and that smile. Wonderful."

Another said: "Oh my heart! Those excited little legs!" And another added: "Ohhh look at you both! The moment you've been waiting for. Just beautiful! Bought a tear to my eye." And a fellow Instagram user wrote: "anette this is just the cutest thing EVER - this is the level of excitement everyone should have at meeting The Mouse…adorable."
