Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith is set to become a father for the second time. The Olympic gymnast and his partner Charlie Bruce are expecting another child, following the birth of their daughter, Marley Valentina, in 2021.

Louis shared the exciting news on Instagram by posting a picture of their baby scan. He captioned the image: "It's so nice we had to do it twice." Louis also shared his Charlie's announcement, which read: "Looks like we are running it back for round 2. Supriseeee," adding a laughing emoji.

The couple were quickly inundated with messages of congratulations. JLS singer and friend Aston Merrygold commented: "Unbelievable my guy! Congratulations to you all," while Love Island star Amber Davies wrote: "Omg congratulations" followed by a series of heart emojis.

Former Strictly professional Ian Waite also added his well wishes, saying: "Aahhhhhhh congratulations." Louis and jazz dancer Charlie have been together since November 2017. They currently live in Peterborough.

Louis won Strictly in 2012 with partner Flavia Cacace. The former Olympic gymnast has two Olympic silver medals, two bronze, two European Championship golds, and two Commonwealth Games golds to his name. He retired following the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Since retiring from sport, Louis has embarked on several new careers. Speaking about their future plans, he said: "Especially now with having a baby in the world we wanted something that was more tangible that we can secure the future with. In ten years time [we hope to] have multiple properties and have our future invested that way."
