BBC Strictly Come Dancing star exclaims 'we're getting married' in unexpected announcement
Strictly Come Dancing sensation Montell Douglas has humorously suggested that she's set to wed her professional dance partner as they gear up for their inaugural ballroom performance.
The 2024 season of Strictly has officially begun following an electrifying launch show. In the first week, the celebrity contestants and their professional partners will vie for their initial leaderboard positions after showcasing a dance routine.
Although the judges will provide feedback and assign scores, no participants will be sent packing in week one. However, the stakes will increase in week two, which is when the first celebrity will depart from the competition.

Competing under the name Gladiator Fire, Montell is paired with Johannes Radebe. As part of their quest for the Strictly trophy, the pair danced the Foxtrot to the tune of Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby by Dinah Washington.
Before setting foot on the dancefloor, host Claudia Winkleman remarked on the duos stunning appearance and playfully referred to them as "Mojo", reports the Mirror.
For the occasion, Montell looked enchanting in a lace and sheer ensemble, while Johannes cut a smart figure in a white shirt, cream waistcoat, with matching tie, all complemented by pin-striped trousers.
In a lighthearted moment, Montell quipped: "Well, we are getting married," drawing laughter from the other Strictly members, and Claudia confirmed to everyone: "You're all invited."
The audience will get their chance to influence the competition when the voting lines open on week two the coming Saturday , with the series' first elimination broadcast slated for Sunday evening. Tonight's action will commence at 7pm on BBC One, but there won't be a results show this weekend.
Currently leading the betting odds are X Factor victor Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill though former professional dancer Erin Boag has cautioned that Miranda star Sarah Hadland is also a contender to keep an eye on.
