BBC Strictly Come Dancing star quips 'we're getting married' leaving host stunned
Strictly Come Dancing's Montell Douglas had a laugh suggesting she's set to wed her dance partner as they geared up for their first performance in the contest. The much-loved Strictly has returned with a bang for its 2024 series following an electrifying launch show. In week one, the stars and their pro partners are all set to make their debut on the leaderboard after showcasing their initial dance routine.
Although the judges will be dishing out their critiques and scores, there won't be any goodbyes just yet the first elimination is reserved for week two when the stakes will be higher and one celeb will have to hang up their dancing shoes.
Montell, also known as Gladiator Fire, is teamed up with Johannes Radebe. The dynamic pair took on the Foxtrot to the tune of Dinah Washington's Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby, kicking off their bid to take home the Strictly trophy.

"Well, we are getting married," quipped Montell, prompting chuckles from the rest of the Strictly crew, with Claudia chiming in: "You're all invited."
Fans will get their chance to weigh in when voting kicks off in week two on Saturday (September 28), with the season's first departure scheduled for the following night (Sunday, September 29). The excitement will commence at 7pm on BBC One tonight, but there won't be a results show this weekend.
