Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing have questioned if they spotted a "kiss" between TOWIE star Pete Wicks and his professional partner Jowita Przystal during the first live show.

The BBC dancing competition kicked off last night (Saturday, September 21) and the couple performed a paso doble to The Prodigy's hit Breathe, the Mirror reports. A rather stompy routine, whilst Pete was down on his knees, Jowita rushed over to him and pressed their faces together, where fans think they got a bit too close for comfort.

Instantly flocking to X, formerly Twitter, one penned: "Was that a KISS between Pete and Jowita?" As another said: "Plz tell me I’m not the only one who saw Pete kiss his dance partner during their routine just now?"

Somebody else echoed: "Obsessed with Pete just walking around for two minutes and kissing Jowita a few times!" And another viewer said: "I can already hear the rumours starting about Pete and Jowita!"

"But why did they kiss three times?!" another fan wondered.

Pete was dressed in leather trousers and waistcoat, with black eyeliner around his eyes for the steamy routine. Fans were mainly impressed he was able to dance in the restrictions of his outfit.

One posted: "Only Strictly can give you the tears of a mum watching her leather-clad son dancing the paso doble to Dave Arch's cover version Breathe by The Prodigy."

Another said: "I am not a Strictly girly but I will be watching it just for Pete Wicks in a bit of leather."

Last night's show saw the Strictly celebrities and their professional dance partners kick off the competition for the first live show of the series. This episode sees the couples compete for a position on the leaderboard for the first time, with the judges giving their scores and verdicts.

However, no one was eliminated, something that will happen for the first time next weekend. Currently topping betting odds are X Factor winner Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill, but ex-pro dancer Erin Boag has warned Miranda star Sarah Hadland is one to watch.
