BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say they have rumbled a shock new feud between a judge and a co-star. BBC viewers have speculated all is not well in the world of the hit dance show, which returns to air on Saturday night.

Strictly Come Dancing fans writing on Reddit and also on social media are speculating Motsi Mabuse has a frosty relationship with one of the dancers. Fans claim Motsi, whose sister is ITV I'm A Celebrity star Oti, seemed unenthusiastic during a discussion about the Sambathon.

Strictly fans are concerned that Motsi is not having a good time this year and they noticed signs of tension between her and another judge. One fan remarked: "Motsi didn’t exactly look thrilled when they were discussing the Sambathon.

"Perhaps she’s feeling nervous as she’s never judged one on Strictly, and they were just discussing the chaos last time." A second agreed and wrote: "I thought Motsi looked a little out-of-sorts and subdued this week in general to be honest."

Another added: "I actually thought the same about Motsi last week. She seemed generally hacked off during the judge’s chat in the results then, too." Discussing Motsi's rapport with Anton du Beke, another said: "There was one particular moment when Anton was rambling on — Motsi’s face painted a thousand words — her expression was saying, 'shut up.'"

Motsi and Anton are just two of the judges used by the show, which has Shirley Ballas as head judge and Craig Revel Horwood offering feedback each week too. She has been on TV in Germany since 2007, first as a dancer on Let’s Dance, then as a judge.

She told the Guardian last year: “When the lights go off, when I go home, I need to be able to feel good about myself. So I always try to be particular about the way I say things. Maybe some people want you to be harsh, but it’s not my personality. I couldn’t live with myself, I couldn’t go to bed.”
