BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers say 'we won't watch' as pro misses out on partner
Some Strictly Come Dancing fans have already promised to skip the hit dancing competition after being left fuming by the partnerships. The launch show aired on Saturday night as the 15 celebrities taking part had their professional dancers officially confirmed.
But some viewers were not best pleased after a popular professional dancer was skipped over for a celebrity partner. Carlos Gu was not picked to perform this year, along with Kai Widdrington and Lauren Oakley.
Venting on social media, one viewer voiced their frustration on X: "Kai, Lauren and Carlos have all proven themselves to be great pros and most importantly, get on well with their celebrities. WHY are they the ones chosen to be benched? Making the series look even worse."

Another fan commented: "They dropped Carlos for goodness sake. Outrageous! I won't be watching." A third remarked: "It's an absolute liberty that Carlos and Kai haven't got a partner this year. Sorry I'm fuming."
A fourth said: "I will be writing incredibly strongly worded letters about the benching of Lauren and Carlos. WHO'S BAD IDEA WAS THAT?"
A fifth said: "Have just been ranting about this for the last 20 minutes. Who's idea was it to ditch Carlos, Lauren and Kai?!?"
Béi added: "Like I'm sorry Kai and Carlos did not get to the finals of their first seasons only to get benched."
