BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has won the show already with brutal dig at co-star
Strictly Come Dancing fans are already championing one contestant as their winner for the series. The hit BBC show returned for its 20th anniversary launch show on Saturday night as the 15 celebrities were paired up with their professional dance partners.
But it was comedian Chris McCausland who wowed fans without ever taking to the floor. The star, who also has his own ITV chat show, is the first blind contestant to sign up for the dancing show - and one particular joke had viewers calling on him to win and lift the Glitterball trophy.
He was revealed to be partnered with pro Dianne Buswell, who missed out on the series last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer. But it was his cheeky comment about co-star Punam Krishnan - a GP and TV doctor for BBC Morning Live - that got fans on his side.

As she started speaking about her partner Gorka Marquez, Chris interjected with a brutal joke. Punam revealed she had lots of plasters at the ready for her time in the competition.
Chris dryly replied: "None of us can believe we've managed to get in the same room as a GP." Punam pointed at hin with a shocked face before host Tess Daly swiftly tried to change the topic and awkward moment, saying: "Well let's not keep you all waiting any longer."
Viewers took to X to comment, with many praising Chris as their winner already.
