BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland shares shock injury as Dianne says 'I feel terrible'
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Chris McCausland revealed he was left bruised after his partner Dianne Buswell 'led him into a metal wall' ahead of the live BBC show on Saturday. The blind comedian, 47, said it had felt like being 'punched in the face three times'.
In an Instagram video, Dianne told Chris: "I feel like I owe you an apology." What did I do yesterday? I led you into a metal wall."
Chris remarked: "Not just any wall, a metal wall...at least with a brick wall it's like one impact whereas this punched me three times in the face at the same time." Dianne then explained how the incident had happened.

She said: "So to give you some context, we finished rehearsal, and in my defense I had a case, I had my bag...heavy bag.
"So I had all these bits on me and I'm also guiding Chris as to where to go and it's a few steps. Get out one door and then there's another door which is essentially the metal gate. I've gone through the metal gate opening but didn't realise that Chris was kind of on my left, which on the left of me is the metal wall."
Chris added: "She walked me straight into it." Pointing at his face he continued: "It got me here, here and across here. Got a little bruise there."
Dianne said: "It's a little bruise. But I think the worst part about it is there was a lady driving a car past us at that particular time...I thought this is what people are going to think this is what I do on a daily basis and it was just a one off thing that happened and I said 'I'm so sorry Chris'. I felt terrible. I lost sleep over it last night."
The comedian also joked about how his time in the competition had been 'dragging'. He told fans: "You blink and it's Friday. But when you're in the week oh god it drags. Oh god it really drags.
"When you're doing training the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays, slow. Do you remember when I asked you the time? And I said what time is it Di?
"And you said half past three. And I nearly cried. I just said I thought it would be something to five. Deep within my heart it was at least going to be something, anything to five. The week's drag but the Fridays come around quick. Figure that out."
