Strictly Come Dancing's Claudia Winkleman massively distracted viewers as they tuned in for the first official show on Saturday night. The presenter's outfits on the show have always been the subject of much discussion, and it seems like the first show was no different.

Claudia, 52, strutted out onto the stage with co-presenter Tess Daly wearing a stunning cream dress with long batwing sleeves and a high neck. Tess was in a red catsuit.

Viewers flooded X, formerly Twitter, with the same comments as they all thought Claudia was taking inspiration from a huge film franchise. Laura said: "Claudia is giving Princess Leia with this outfit and I don’t hate it." Lara Badger wrote: "Claudia obi wan kenobiman."

Olivia agreed: "claudia is serving Jedi couture tonight #Strictly," while Daz scott said: "Thought Claudia was going to do a dress reveal. But no. That is the dress."

Week one sees the celebs and their professional partners team up for their first chance at placing on the leaderboard after performing a debut routine. But this week no-one will leave the show.

Week two is when the tension will really start to ramp up, and one celebrity will go home for good.
