BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell 'fights tears' over Chris McCausland after fans find secret message
Dianne Buswell has hailed Chris McCausland's comment in the aftermath of their poignant 'blackout' moment on Strictly Come Dancing after it was uncovered by fans.
The pair had viewers in tears and were heavily praised as they returned to the ballroom last Saturday night (November 9) where they performed their couple’s choice routine to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon.
They closed week eight of the BBC One dance contest with the impressive jazz-inspired performance featuring a "poignant" blackout moment, imitating Chris' own experience with blindness, with him since saying it was to put viewers in the dark and be surprised by what they saw afterwards - which was an epic spin in which Dianne laid across his shoulders.

The unexpected performance received rapturous applause from the audience and a score of 33 out of a possible 40 points from the four judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.
It was later confirmed during Sunday night's (November 10) results show that Chris and Dianne had made it through to week nine of the competition, which just so happens to be Strictly's annual Blackpool special and will see the eight remaining couples perform live in the iconic Tower Ballroom.
But while they're back in training for their next performance, Dianne couldn't help but be taken aback as she was reminded of Chris' comment in the few moments after their latest dance routine came to an end.
The Australian dancer was reminded after the latest 'hidden mic' segment, in which Strictly releases a compilation of the comments made by the celebrities and their professional partners while performing live, was shared by Strictly. Sharing the latest video on social media, the caption read: "Mic check one two, one two, it’s #Strictly hidden mics time."
At one point, Dianne and Chris were seen hilariously shouting in each other's faces before they later ended the routine. "Oh, I'm so proud of you," Dianne told her comedian partner to which he replied: "You okay?" Dianne replied: "Yeah!" before Chris lifted her into the air as they continued to embrace.
Sharing the clip to her Instagram Story, Dianne said: "The selflessness of @chrismccauslandcomedy is beyond me. The first thing he says to me after the dance, 'are you ok' [face holding back tears and red heart emojis]. What a man, in so many way."
And fans also picked up on the moment as they responded to Strictly's post. @erin.cherry123 said: "Chris asking asking Dianne if she’s ok….I LOVE them." @carla300791 commented: "Chris asking Dianne if she was ok as she had been sick all day. I just love these two." @eddo_official wrote: "Chris asking Di if she’s okay. So wholesome." @lin3ssen added: "Chris's turn to check if his partner was OK. Both always so caring."
