BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Neil Jones hints at new role after being snubbed of partner

Strictly Come Dancing's Neil Jones shared a playful hint at eyeing up a new role on the popular dance competition.

Despite his tenure as a pro dancer, Neil has often found himself without a celebrity partner, having been partnered in just two out of ten series so far. With anticipation building around the pairings for this year's show, there's speculation about whether he'll be partnered with a celebrity for the upcoming series.

In a humorous pre-show interview, Neil toyed with the idea of following in the footsteps of Anton Du Beke, fantasising about becoming a judge in the next couple of decades.

Expressing his views on the longevity of Strictly, Neil commented: "I honestly think it's still going to be here. It's going to keep growing and developing. I can't imagine myself still dancing on the show in 20 years' time, as much as I would love to, I don't know if my body will handle that. That would make me 62, you never know! Maybe I'll be a judge by then.."

Regardless of whether he's performing in pro routines or dancing with a celebrity, Neil confesses he doesnt experience nerves but an adrenaline rush, reports Wales Online.

He delved into his feelings about taking to the stage, illustrating: "I wouldn't say it's nerves, it's excitement. At that point, if you're going out there to do a group dance you know this is the last time we're doing it. If it's with a partner, I just want to make sure they're okay and comfortable. I'll let them know it's not the end of the world so go out and have fun."

Neil couldn't hide his amazement at his lengthy run on the show, telling his followers, "It's brilliant. I've been around the show for about 10 years so it's incredible to be a part of this for that long."

In discussing how he gets ready for live shows, he disclosed, "I'm always focusing on the steps, so I'll be having fun with everyone but mainly thinking about the steps."
