BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks confirms real reason for 'tough' week amid 'special' move with Jowita Przystal
Pete Wicks has seemingly revealed the real reason he and Jowita Przystal had a 'tough' week in Strictly Come Dancing training before confirming a 'special' move for the pair after they made it through to another week in the competition.
The podcast host and reality star was left disheartened following his latest performance in the ballroom. Pete and professional dance partner Jowita's latest routine didn't quite go their way as they opened the live show on Saturday night (November 2).
Dressed as the late Freddie Mercury for the show's first-ever 'Icons Week', former The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) star Pete performed to a salsa to Queen's Another One Bites the Dust alongside his dance partner.

After their salsa, Pete, who could be heard repeatedly telling dance partner Jowita "I’m sorry" to which she replied "it’s ok". But soon after they landed at the bottom of the leaderboard with 22 out of a possible 40 points.
It was then confirmed during Sunday night's (November 3) results show that Pete and Jowita had made it through to week eight of the BBC One dance contest and Pete has now spoken out.
During a chat with his best mate and co-host Sam Thompson on their Staying Relevant podcast, which came ahead of his latest performance, Pete said: "We’ve had a tough week because Jowita has been working with an injury, she got whiplash on Monday.
"So if we manage to get through then it will be an absolute miracle but I’ll be over the moon because then it will be couple’s choice and then its one week until Blackpool."
Sam was quick to support his friend and shared his thoughts that Pete should be scoring higher than he has been. The I'm A Celebrity winner said: "If I look at the numbers, Pete’s Halloween joker dance is the most liked on Youtube, he got a 31 which is still a brilliant score, but there were 9’s flying around for other people and I was so impressed by this dance that I think it should have scored higher."
Pete then replied: "We completely respect the judges scores. Obviously I am not the most technical in the competition, but we dance for people at home and try and make everything as entertaining as possible. But everyone is really good in the competition."
It comes after Pete hinted that something special was on the cards in a social media post. Alongside a string of epic snaps in which he could be seen channelling Freddie, the 36-year-old said: "I don’t even know what to say…I’m very humbled and a bit overwhelmed. It wasn’t a good night for me and I know just how lucky I am to still be part of the show but thank you everyone."
"@jowitaprzystal worked so hard last week and there is no way I would have ever made it this far without her." It is then when he vowed: "I will bounce back," before adding: "This week is a gonna be a bit of an emotional one for me and your support means so much."
