BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas issues 'two minute' plea as fans beg 'never give up'

Shirley Ballas has been flooded with support over being "honoured and delighted" as she made a TV longlist. The BBC head judge on Strictly Come Dancing spoke out after being given the prestigious honour by the ITV National Television Awards.

Shirley said: "I’m honoured and delighted to be long listed for ‘Best TV Expert’ at this years @officialntas … it’s a privilege to share my knowledge and passion for dance on @bbcstrictly. I’d actually like to do a little more knowledge sharing this year. Would you like to see that ?

"So many of us have been inspired to take up Latin and Ballroom dancing as a result of seeing the incredible professionals and their partners showing us how practice makes progress, so any tips and techniques to improve our dancing would be fabulous.

"I'm the same age as you Shirley, and have only been leanring to dance since Lockdown. Seeing you dance on tour has inspired me to set myself much more stretching dance goals."
