Tasha Ghouri has broken her silence after facing Pete Wicks in the dance-off during Sunday night's results show (December 8). The former Love Island star has made it to the final of Strictly Come Dancing after being saved by the judges.

After performing two dances each in the semi-finals in a bid to secure their place in the grand final next week, Pete Wicks and his professional dance partner Jowita found themselves facing the dreaded dance-off for the first time against Tasha and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

It was the second week in a row that the reality TV star, 26, had found herself in the bottom two and was forced to perform her routine once again in front of the judges, despite receiving a perfect score for their waltz during Saturday's live show.

Tasha and Aljaz danced their waltz to (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, while Pete and Jowita reprised their Argentine tango to Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve.

Following their performances, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke each chose to save Tasha and Aljaz, with Head Judge Shirley Ballas also agreeing and said she would have chose to save the pair.

As Pete and Jowita became the eleventh couple to leave Strictly's 20th-anniversary series on Sunday night (December 8), it meant that Tasha and Aljaz have now joined Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley and Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell as this year's four finalists.

Taking to Instagram to break her silence after facing the dance-off, Tasha told her 1.4 million followers: "WHAT A SEMI FINAL!! my goal on this show was to just make it to the final, that’s all I wanted to do and I have with a few kickbacks. I’m so proud that I didn’t give up and kept fighting. I’m just so excited to just let go, enjoy this week and do a show dance!!! My strictly journey is complete!! I can’t believe I’m a finalist."

Addressing Pete Wicks, she then wrote: "@p_wicks01 .. being in the bottom two with you was the hardest thing on this show. You’re so kind, humble, sweetest soul & when I say he has really taken me under his wing during this time and for that I’m so thankful, truly have found a friend for life. you should be so so proud of yourself! You and @jowitaprzystal partnership was so beautiful to watch."

Speaking to her dance partner, Tasha then said: "@aljazskorjanec feeling sad this is our last week but what a time we had with the salsa and waltz, I can’t wait to dance with you many more times this weekend, I have so much more to say but I’ll be saving that till Saturday night. WE’RE FINALISTS!!!."
