BBC Strictly fans ask 'was that a kiss' as Pete Wicks and Jowita get very close
Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are abuzz with rumours after they were convinced they witnessed a "kiss" between TOWIE's Pete Wicks and his pro partner Jowita Przystal right there on the dance floor.
The show launched with an unconventional take on the Paso Doble, set to The Prodigy's iconic Breathe, presenting a performance somewhat heavier on the stomp than audiences are accustomed to. In a dramatic moment with Pete on his knees, Jowita swooped in close faces pushed together, leaving fans almost certain their lips met.
Racing to social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, viewers shared their reactions, with one tweeting: "Was that a KISS between Pete and Jowita?" Another viewer questioned: "Plz tell me I'm not the only one who saw Pete kiss his dance partner during their routine just now?"

Comments kept flowing, with someone stating: "Obsessed with Pete just walking around for two minutes and kissing Jowita a few times!" Meanwhile, another added fuel to the fire: "I can already hear the rumours starting about Pete and Jowita!".
Curiosity was piqued as one fan pondered, "But why did they kiss three times? !"
Dressed strikingly in leather trousers and a waistcoat, accented by black eyeliner, Pete delivered a surprising routine. Viewers appeared largely taken with his ability to navigate the vigorous dance in such an elaborate ensemble, reports the Mirror.
Amongst the reactions, one fan tweeted: "Only Strictly can give you the tears of a mum watching her leather-clad son dancing the paso doble to Dave Arch's cover version Breathe by The Prodigy." And from a self-proclaimed non-regular viewer: "I am not a Strictly girly but I will be watching it just for Pete Wicks in a bit of leather."
Strictly has once again commenced for 2024 after an exhilarating launch show. The first week sees the celebrities and their professional partners team up for their initial opportunity to secure a place on the leaderboard with their performance.
Despite receiving comments and scores from the judges, no one will be eliminated in the first week. The real tension begins in week two when one celebrity will bid farewell to the show.
Audiences will have the chance to participate when the lines open next Saturday and the first elimination of the series will be broadcasted the following night. Tonight's action will commence at 7pm on BBC One, but there won't be a results show this weekend.
Currently leading the betting odds are X Factor winner Shayne Ward and JLS star JB Gill however, former professional dancer Erin Boag has highlighted that Miranda star Sarah Hadland is also a contender to keep an eye on.
