BBC Strictly pro says there's 'something we don't know' about 2024 celeb

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts might get quite the surprise, as one ex-professional dancer has hinted there's a mystery surrounding one of the contestants this year.

Erin Boag, famous for being Anton Du Beke's partner on the dance floor and a fixture in Strictly's first ten seasons, divulged her predictions to Spin Genie before the commencement of this year's live shows. And its Sarah Hadland from Miranda whom Erin is particularly intrigued by for 2024.

Commenting on the line-up, she noted: "When I heard the line-up Shayne Ward came to the top of my mind, thinking, 'Okay, he's going to be one to watch'. He is there, he's very much, 'I'm in this to win this', and I'm all for that. Some people don't like it, especially the English. I think that he's going to be great. Yeah, he's going to be really good."

Then, turning her attention to Sarah, Erin said: "Now, there was one other that I spotted, Sarah, oh. Sarah Hadland. I didn't know her at all, then I saw her in the end number, and she jumped into Vito's arms with the best pointed foot."

Elaborating on Sarah's unknown talents, Erin revealed: "Now there's no mention of her dancing, but she's done some form of dance because she had this gorgeous leg line, and there's this foot that just went straight, and I went, 'hello, there's something we don't know about you,'" reports the Express.

Erin speculates further: "She looks like she's had some dance training, not ballroom dancing, yes, but some of them would have had theatre training, or something, in their childhood, they would have done something. I think she's definitely one to watch."

Sarah hasn't confessed to any formal dance training, unlike some of her fellow competitors. JLS's JB Gill is no stranger to busting a move, having danced on tour and in music videos, not to mention clinching the Strictly Christmas special crown in 2012.

More recently, EastEnders legend Jamie Borthwick snagged the festive trophy last year, partnered with Nancy Xu.

Toyah Willcox and Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, who honed her dance skills at Slough's Creative Academy with a focus on commercial dance, also bring experience to the floor.

Erin couldn't help but rave about Olympian Tom Dean, saying: "I'm looking forward to getting to know them all, even the swimmer, Tom Dean, I mean, how tall is he? I mean, Nadiya is tall, but Jesus, Nadiya was in her high shoes, he was in flat shoes and she had to look up."

"He's a fantastic swimmer. I mean, three gold medals. Incredible. Incredible, young, gorgeous."

"So he is also one to watch more so in the ballroom, because he will be able to be strong in hold, and look tall and slim and have a long leg stride, especially with Nadiya, so she will make him look good. And he was sort of cute, wasn't he! It's so early, so if you would ask me my favourite, I probably couldn't tell you right now, but I sort of have my eye on Shayne Ward, right now."
