BBC Strictly star JB Gill shares joint message with Amy Dowden after results show
Strictly Come Dancing's results show was difficult for fans as the absence of Amy Dowden weighed heavy after it was revealed the star had been taken to hospital following last night's live show. Her celebrity partner JB Gill was noticeably stood alone on the stage as host Tess Daly revealed Amy couldn't be there, but did not address why.
It was revealed hours before the results show on Sunday night that Amy, who only returned to the BBC show this year after battling breast cancer, had been taken to hospital as a precaution after she became unwell in the studio. A representative later issued an update on her health and said she was "feeling much better".
They said: "Amy was feeling unwell, so an ambulance was called as a precaution. She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."

Following her absence from the show, JB Gill took to Instagram with a joint message from him and Amy to their fans. He shared a picture of a moment from their Halloween routine, and wrote: "On behalf of both @amy_dowden and I, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for voting for us and wishing us well.
"We absolutely loved our performance on Saturday night and are SO grateful to be through to another week on @bbcstrictly Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support."
Fans flooded the comments with concerned messages for Amy.One wrote: "Well done! Hope Amy is okay. Looking forward to your dance next week!"
"Get better soon, Amy," another added, while a third said: "Yes, J and @amy_dowden, I'm proud of you both , proud yellow girl here cant wait to see next week dance. get better soon Amy xx"
