BBC Strictly's Chris McCausland shares 'knackering' day in his life as he makes career announcent
Chris McCausland has revealed what he gets up to in a day in his packed schedule, as he made a big career announcement. The comedian, who is currently competing in Strictly Come Dancing with partner Dianne Buswell, has teamed up with Lee Mack for a brand new Christmas TV special.
He will play Scott in Bad Tidings, a Sky original comedy that will see two feuding neighbours become unlikely heroes. Chris, 47, and Lee's characters will save their street in Stockport from notorious criminals, just in time for Christmas.
Chris shared a look at a day in his life filming for the show and then going to perform stand-up. He revealed shooting started before 9am, and that he is doing some of his own stunts in the show.

He said: "Don't tell the guys in charge but I turn up, I wing it and I hope it's good enough...They have their health and safety stuff but if you can do things yourself, even just like diving onto a mannequin. What I'm saying is I'm just like Tom Cruise me."
Revealing the difficulties of filming, he shared how he had been tied up to Lee Mack all afternoon 'and my a*** has gone numb and I've got no blood in my legs'. He then shared that after finishing filming at 5.20pm, he was on to his 'proper job' doing stand up comedy.
Chris went on stage at 9pm, and told fans: "I love doing stand up. Sometimes it being at the end of filming though it's knackering. But all good, all good. It's better to have too much work than not enough work isn' t it?"
Speaking about how his sight loss affects his work, he added: "I don't think not being able to see the audience is an advantage in any way. Maybe I don't see the fella with his arms folded in the front row that's trying to stare you out."
Production on the special has ended and will air on both Sky and streaming service NOW over the holidays. Also in the cast are Rebekah Staton, Sarah Alexander, Ben Crompton, Emily Coates, Josiah Eloi, Millie Kiss, Tupele Dorgu, Sunil Patel, Susan Kyd and Donna Preston.
