BBC Top Gear Returns to Three-Host Format With LeBlanc, Harris and Reid
Chris Evans flopped as the main host of BBC's rebooted Top Gear, but the other hosts showed promise. After the season's conclusion,Evans stepped down, and we heard rumors the show would regroup to focus on the breakout stars, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid.
The BBC announced today that LeBlanc, Harris, and Reid will be the Top Gear's main hosts for its upcoming 24th season. Nürburgring ace Sabine Schmitz and F1 commentator Eddie Jordan will return as well, but won't appear in every episode.
Some news. I have a job. As does @MrRoryReid and @Matt_LeBlanc . https://t.co/GNdsMBX3Yx

LeBlanc has signed a two-season deal with the BBC, though it's unclear exactly how long Harris and Reid's contracts are.
Top Gear has upcoming competition, though. Former TG hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May have a new show, The Grand Tour, premiering on Amazon in November.
The BBC's decision to narrow the show to three hosts seems wise. LeBlanc showed himself to be an excellent lead, and Harris and Reid quickly became fan favorites. We can't wait to see this new, more focused Top Gear.
