BBC viewers 'so confused' by problem at Paris Olympics 2024 closing ceremony

BBC viewers were baffled during tonight's coverage of the Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony. A spectacular event was staged at the Stade de France to bring the curtain down on the 2024 edition of the sporting tournament.

Hazel Irvine and Andrew Cotter were on commentary duty as the ultimate sporting event came to an end in style. Phoenix arrived on stage to perform a medley songs in celebration of French music.

The band, who hails from Versailles, performed a range of hits from their extensive repertoire, including 1901 and Lisztomania. They were joined by a variety of guests including Kavinsky, Air and Vampire Weekend frontman, Ezra Koenig.

Fans following the show on social media platform X were thrilled with the show provided by the French band. Sam said: "Phoenix nailed that #ClosingCeremony live set - and what a treat to see Ezra Koenig pop up for tonight."

Liam posted: "Phoenix were worth waiting for." Katerina commented: "Phoenix smashed that tbf." Calum added: "Big fan of the closing ceremony just being a Phoenix concert."

However, other viewers were frustrated with the sound quality during the broadcast. Andrew said: "What is it with the dodgy sound here?"

Nathan added; "The sound is so messy." Phillip posted: "What is going on with the sound and are the athletes meant to be on stage. I’m so confused."

Chris posted: "What is going on with the sound? It all keeps cutting in and out and just sounds an absolute mess."
